you'll be on a VE R Y low dose of Sub in detox, just enough to take the edge off. You wont feel great after 5 days but MUCH better
You would still feel wd after 5 days on sub.. I do not know how severe as I have never done sub.. How do you plan on dealing with the pain of your condition and do you abuse your meds ??
I'm really sorry to read about the position you are in with your insurance. Hubby and I are facing the same thing if we can not get a reduced rate.. what I would suggest is make a app. with your Dr. explain to him that you will be loosing your insurance.. ask him his/hers suggestions on ways to start a taper off the Valium and Fentynal.. also ask about pain alternatives.. Detox is getting all the drugs out of your system. You will not die but it will be very difficult as fentynal has a long wd as does Valium.. If you are taking these for debilitating pain. I would not suggest sub. from what I have read it really is not that beneficial for severe pain but it does stop the wd from opiates.. there is Methadone and I really never thought I would never write this but it is a cheaper alternative to sub and does have the benefit of pain relief.. although and I stress this. Addicting with long wd.. anyway I hope this has helped a lil but start with your Dr. be straight forward and expect answers ok. take care lesa
Another question i have is ..The Detox Center said it will only take 5 days to go off the meds .Is 5 days on Suboxone and then drop everything enough time ?
when i called detox center they told me that they use suboxone. And the have a meeting with Suboxone patients on monday after you have detoxed .So i am not sure why you stay on them after detox either.I have been on these meds for osteo arthritis. Not even sure what it will be like after i am off them . I have to go off because of insurance purposes .
You need to find out all these questions from either your doctor or the rehab place. Valium has to be tapered. You should have a plan when you go in to this place and when you leave. sara
Sub is very expensive. benzos like traycee said they CAN NOT BE CTED.I really should like toy have to sit down with your doctor have a very long discussion like how long will you be on the sub how expensive it is if you remain on it (from what I hear it costs alot.) what recovery care is you doctor planing i setting you up on.
What were you on all these med for ?

Subs are very addictive and very expensive. And much stronger than Vicodin. I dont really under stand your question about "what if they put you on it after detox". If youre detoxed you wouldnt need it. The only way to get thru it is to get thru it. You'll be sick, it will be painful. But you wont die from it. How much fentanyl are you on and for how long? And you absolutley shouldnt ct valium, very dangerous!
Good Luck!
