Spouse's Dilaudid Addiction

My wife has an addiction to IV Dilaudid and has been fighting the cravings for sometime now.  She is at the point that she wants to go to ER's to try to get the IV,  What recommendations are there on how to break the cycle.  We are a one car, one income family (me) and don't have the funds or time to enter her into rehab.  What other options are there?  If any.

Thank you,

They won't give her the iv....let her go and tell them why, the state has help and it makes you never want to go back! No easy way friend! Good luck!

Hi, you are a good husband to be concerned and want to get her help.

When you say she is fighting cravings, is she detoxing? If so, for how long?

Hugs,
Lily

Hi & Welcome,

It is difficult to advise on this. Dilaudid is a strong drug for one and the method in which she is using it is also a factor. My heart aches to hear this. I can only suggest that you begin making phone calls to treatment centers in your area. Many of them have indigent programs or alumni programs and will take in one patient a month or so. I believe she needs professional help to get her through this.

I will pray for you both. Please let us know how you are doing.
