If you can't get anymore, then you will have to quit c/t. You can do it.Since your boss is cooperating, you can take a week off of work. You will be sick like having the flu for 3-6 days. Then you will feel a little better day by day.Type Thomas Recipe in the search bar above. It helps very much. You can read this home detox plan also~~http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=362651
41/2 months ago, I was just like you. I was doing about 60-90 mg  a day for 8-10 months.I was scared to death to quit.I found this forum, followed the Thomas recipe and
got a lot of amino acids. It was a big help when the people here told me I was not going to die.You need to try and stay calm.Read as much on this forum as you can. When you have a question, just post it.The people here will help you.
Do you take any other medication?
Don't be scared........You can do it...You are lucky to be getting off the poison after just 6 months

You should ask your doctor to prescribe a couple of medications for you. The first is clonidine. It's a BP med that really helps lessen the WD symptoms. Also, a benzo of some sort, taken just as needed for 2 weeks max, would help a lot. Read the Thomas recipe for recommended benzos. the WD's last around 7 days with day 3-5 being the worst for most. Everyone is different, though. It is not life threatening, although you will feel pretty bad.

well one time i got really sick and i honestly thought it was because i was taking alot of vics and i went to the er (guess what) i told the doctor i was really addicted to vics alot you know what she told me well where ever your getting them you need to stop and try to cut down but no she didnt give me any good advice as HOW DAMIT how do i stop this sh!@, she was more concern from where i was getting them and unfortuately im not getting them from any doctors, so i dont know where to turn. my boss thank GOD know about it and he is really making an effort to be by side and help me stop but when im off the clock hes not around i can only avoid it at work, the thing that scares me is going home and trying to sleep my legs are so sore right now, if ive been taking vics for 6mths how long before the w/ds are over what can i expect because one way or the other i have to quit theres no choice for me. i want to be normal again energized instead of just being a damn dead couch patatoe...thank you for all your advice and your support is greatly appriciated you dont know how much...ANY ADVICE i would appriciate.....

My name is Julie and I have been on Vicoden for three years. I am now disabled and have alot of back and leg pain. I have a muscle in my leg that is now dead and much nerve damage. I take no more than nine pills per day. I have tried to cut back but when I do I get sick and my pain increases. I have talked to my doctor about this problem and he says that because of my four operations and the extent of my damage I will most likely be on pain killers for the rest of my life. My pain is not all in my head. I have had four back operations and now it is hard to walk. Some people have genuine pain and need to be on a painkiller to get through the day,,,its not only because they are addicted but because they really do need to medication to just get through the day with the least amount of pain. I know what its like,,so the answer to all perscription drug users,,,you know wether or not your pain in genuine or if you are just addicted. You must take the steps your self and you must talk with your doctor. You can have tests done that locate your pain and your doctor would tell you if you did not need them anymore. Basically the truth is this: In the depth of your own soul,,you carry the truth, so do the right thing for you. Look deep down inside your self and find your truth and do something about it but do not be ashamed if you need this medication to get through the day because of pain because there are many of us that would suffer greatly without it. Any questions contact me at juliekatie2429 on yahoo mail or messenger. Im not a doctor but I believe I can help people, I have worked in a detox center and gained a lot of knowledge. Blessed Be to everyone

I will pray for you today. I think you should definetly call and doctor and tell them what your going through so maybe they can help not make this so unbearable for you. It sounds like alot for you to go through alone.

Search the Thomas Recipe here - you may not be able to get Valium or any other benzo to help with the anxiety but there are quite a few of the amino acids/supplements that help.  Protein is good too - if you can't eat try Boost Plus.  Keep posting, there are a lot of people here who are really supportive and helpful.  I'm tapering off of my last 90 (have 50 left) Norco which is 10mg and have been thru the w/d before so I know where you are.  hang in there - if you have to you can go to the ER, tell them you are withdrawing and they may offer you help.  Clonodine (NOT KLONOPIN) is a blood pressure medicine that also helps with the w/d symptoms.  Can you tell the doctor (if there is one) that you got the vics from that you're abusing and need help withdrawing???   Best wishes to you - one day at a time, even one hour at a time, try to sleep.
