It is a machine that forces air into your throat to keep you from snoring and prevents sleep apnea. Believe it or not took dozens of attempts and severval years to be able to wear it As of now I am back to not being able to wear it
Whats a cpap machine if I may ask?
There is a list of things they have listed in the lower right called the Thomas Recipe. You can look some of that over if you like.
.I stuck with a muti vitamin, extra B-12 suppliment (to help with brain healing from being manipulated by the pain pills), some folic acid, fish oil pill,,advil and immodium if stomach issues hit..Then bagels, toast in the morning,,, anything to keep some food moving as one's appetite really isn't the greatest..Then relied on Progresso vegetable soups and premake some sandwiches at times so I could get a nibble here or there when I just didn't feel I could eat the whole thing. On that, I had precooked some boneless chicken breasts and would add some to the soup our use it for a sandich...Having things simple and pre-prepared makes life a little easier..Everytime I thought about cooking a dinner, I'd get wore out just thiking of all the kitchen work involved with cooking then cleaning etc. And another note on the soup? I would leave the pot on low warm with the soup and would get spoonfuls here and there if I didn't feel I could sit down with a full bowl.
In the realm of the med still being in your system, that should be about gone.Normally clears the system in 3 or 4 days..
.I forgot to mention gatorade or an equivelent electrolyte (sp) drink. Keep the fluids moving..The emotional swings and outbursts of tears is normal. It's your emotions coming back to light after being buried under the meds affects..Let it out. That a good good release for pent up stress underneath.
..For sleep aids, maybe get some Valerian Root and Melatonin. You can find those in most vitamin sections of any store. They have some natural something in them that makes the body relax some..Or eat alot of turkey! Its suppose to be loaded with melatonin..Always wondered why we were sleepy after a Thanksgiving Dinner? Now you have part of the answer :) Gotta run, hope this helps :)
I have read of some natural supplements that can help cleanse your system out.Isn't that the last thing you want to do or the sooner out the quicker the withdrawls and getthe withdrawls over with?
It will let up soon. I too have had a couple rounds with the lyrica as well..In 3 maybe 4 days you "will" notice some good coming back. I'm just over 3 months away from a 300mg plus oxycontin dependency..It did a taper down quite a bit ahead of time but where your at now is very similar to where I was at. Just let the healing take place. Try not to focus on "when will it stop". And read down a few posts. There's one on a guy that tapering from the oxy's and you'll see alot of what you might experience there...:)
Thank you for your support.I also use a cpap machine which compounds the sleep stuff.
As you must know I would go without any sleep if everything else would let up.
Your clearing the biggest hurtle right now! Don't look back. Your going to feel somewhat depressed and may run into some sleep issues in the next week or so, but hang in there. Get 4 more days behind you and you will begin to see the light starting to shine. I know it feels hopeless right now..It will get better soon,,,I promise you,,,it will
