severe headaches and hydrocodone withdrawal

So I'm 38 days clean from narcos and I'm still having severe headaches. They went away for a few days but are back with a vengeance. I take Tylenol right when I get up bc they're so bad then an alieve but it only works for an hour and doesn't take all the pain away. Is this normal until my body recovers or could it be an underlying issue?

hi8  well I got those mind bending headaches to it felt like my head was going to explode  just hang in there they will go away with time  one thing I would do is check your blood pressure  opiets tend to lower it  and after years of abuse it often spikes when you detox  also have your vision checked  the pills mess with your eyesight as well we always reacmend a thoural phyical  make sure they do an extensive liver panel you will know  it takes 8 viles of blood just for that test  better safe then sorry  keep posting for support and congrats on 38 days clean................Gnarly

Ok Ty Vickie. I think it's the detox process too bc I've never had them this bad consecutively for so long. And it always happens 4 days after withdrawals. I'd rather have headaches though then still taking pills. I was always worried I was out of tune with my body and if there was an underlying condition I would never know bc the pills would mask it. I'll take a walk tomorrow morning and play some music.

PS..Sun, Exercise and Music will help stimulate those "Happy Chems". This should help too.

Hi.
I have seen this question so many times. Speaking from my own experience and from what I read, our Brain chems have been so whacked out that it will take time for the brain chems to balance out. These substances change your Brain Chemistry and neural pathways. Plus it causes overactiviation to the central nervous system. I too had never had headaches at all, well maybe with a Hang over..lol I had these come and go for months and did not understand, until I talked with the Doc. He also said, as the Brain tries to adjust back, after we remove these Stims, it can send false singles to the Body. Just give it some more time. IF it continues then differently go talk with your Dr. I just think it is part of the detox stage and there are many stages we go through. It is not over in just a week or 2. Time & Patience is what it will take. Maybe look into some natural brain healing vit/min. Amino-acids/Protein are really good. Anything natural that helps with doing a cell turn over. I do hope these go away real soon. Hang in. I am sure this will pass in time. I will send a Pray out!!
Bless
Vickie
