Hi fuzzy here. I am in Scotland. Every night that's when I get it. I am on day fourteen and it does get better. I get dancing legs tossing and turning and sometimes wake up with cravings, sweats etc. But I know why that is, that's when I was heavy loaded. I would take ten before bed of codeine tabs. I use Valeria Root sometimes, and folks say hot baths.Clean now for 14 days. I hate the nights too but I am slowly letting go. God Luck and great work.
The legs movements are the worse for me. Then I just toss and turn and feel so bad that its keeping up my girl that I just go out to living room and do something till I pass out at some point. Strange when you are up and moving around when pretty much everyone in your area is sound asleep. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one going through this.
Dude I am right there with you! Day 13 for me and I slept from 11:30 til 1 and then 5:30 til 8. It's really really tough. been slepeing (or trying) on the couch as not to keep my hubby up all night. Hopefully it'll get better soon. hang in there and congrats on day 11!
Hi everyone Congrats on your clean time !!! I know I had trouble with body discomfort and it really helped to take fast 2 mile walks with hills. Sometimes I went longer. I didn't take the walks for pleasure as my body hurt. I took them because they were suggested by someone on the forum so I could get the drugs out of my system sooner. That and alot of green tea for the antioxidants. I take a few vitimans. Nothing fancy. I'm cheering you on !!! Keep going !!! God bless you!!!
Thanks for all the kind words, advice and encouragement. Peace to all
Mat...did you try Nyquil without the decongestant to help get through some nights?I know it is habit forming and apart from the alcohol is not addicting per se but quite habit forming.IT containes 1000mg tylenol, dextromethorpan, and doxylamine per dose. The dm is a very mild opiate that may help soothe the opiate receptors, the doxylamine is an antihistamine that causes drowsiness and helps the tylenol give pain relief. All these drugs in recommended doses help pain and induce sleep. It got me through a few nights and I still have lots left.I did not overdo it but sleep is so important in the healing process. After a few nights sleep everything becomes so much easier.Another drug that requires a doctors prescription is trazadone which also induces sleep.
I tried the Trazadone when I tried to quit early last year... It was awful!! Made me feel soooo bizzaire. It like multiplied that tingly feeling by 10 and even made my head tingle. I thought for a secomd that I was really losing it. I freaked out & made myself sick just to get it out! Ugh... Worst experience ever!! It may help for some tho. Try the sleepytime tea too, I swear that stuff helps a ton!
Hope you have a good night at work! Happy Day 11 for both of us!! :) xoxoxo
