Question about my back ...

So I am off and on, but now on my second day with nothing. The mental part is nothing, but those that read my last post know for me the thing is I get low back pain when I am off. Is there no one here that got this? It feels like a DEEP ache in my back, about one inch to the left and right of my tail bone. I can almost put a quarter on the spot. I need to mention a few things...

It is not a pre-existing injury. I have NEVER hurt my back. I am also very athletic.
It is NOT just a cramp, or a spasm. I can feel the pain start to ramp up after about 10 hours without using.
The pain is ONLY there when I lay on my back or on my side, it's not there while I am moving.
It's worst between waking up and 11am and 9pm and bedtime. I wake up with zero pain.
I do not have insurance...

All I am asking is for someone to tell me this IS a WD, and it will eventually go away...did I screw up my system and harm myself for life? Did it fry the nerves in my back...? Please someone just tell me it'll go away, so I can stop. It SOUNDS very much like sciatica to most people, but no pain in my legs, and it feels BETTER when I exercise, which is different from sciatica or a disc. I know the obvious answer is "just keep walking" ....well as much as I feel "okay" I don't feel well enough to walk around ALL day, and I can't stay up all night and day haha. Sorry if these seems minor to some, but this is literally ruining my life. If this is something I will have to live with forever, that's not something I will accept....

The reason I am asking once more is because this is the ONE thing that has been keeping me from being clean...Tylenol and Advil etc do not even make a dent in the pain. I can find almost nothing online about this issue.

the area you are describing sounds like you SI joints.
it is due to the withdrawal.  if after 2 months of not using you still feel this pain you may want to apply for medicaid and get a mri.
i have extreme back pain and withdrawal does make it worse for awhile.

Hi  what your feeling if from the withdrawal it is very common the brain will create pain to get the drugs  opiets are unlike most drugs there is a real phyical side to this the pain is very real it can be over in a few days or it may hang around longer there is always a bothersome symptom that takes longer then the others to recover from I must say im impressed with any body your age trying to get clean this addiction leads to jails instutions and death it is a progressive illness for witch there is no cure ,however it can be arrested and then recovery is possible many people ride ''the meary go round'' of using getting clean only to wind up detoxing over and over it you choose recovery you can stop the madness before it over comes your life.....Gnarly

Hi there. Lower back pain is a pretty common symptom of opiate withdrawal. We tend to have a lowered pain tolerance, and can have pains anywhere. For some reason it seems more common to have lower back and leg pain. As long as you didn't injure yourself (fall, lift something extremely heavy, car accident, etc.) this will pass. I personally can't give you a time frame. I have chronic back pain (due to an old injury), so mine never went away. Some things that can really help this kind of pain are first and foremost staying active. The more you sit and lay around, the stiffer you will get. Hot baths with epsom salts, heating pad (or ice packs if you can stand it), something like Icy Hot rub, massage, and time. I promise all of this physical stuff will get better. It just takes a little time. Congratulations on 2 days clean. Please stick around, keep posting. We are here for you.
