Tramadol withdrawal day 5

This really isn’t a question so much as a story. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here. So this is my second time trying to detox off tramadol! I was taking a lot around 20 a day! This is the first time in 5 years I’ve made it to day 5. My rx refills tomorrow and the addict inside of me really wants to take them however the rational part of me says your on day 5 your almost through the worst of the physical part. Tramadol has been a part of my life for damn near 15 years and I’ve spent a lot of time chasing it and I just trying want to be done. I want to be free and strong but it is so hard when you are so miserable!  I know this will pass because I had a year clean but I just want to beat this monster once and for all!

What would help would be if you told someone....it would help to have someone hold you accountable.  
5 DAYS....you've gone 5 days!!  Are you detoxing b/c you ran out and the reason I ask this is to look at the idea that your running out early...which means you don't have a handle on this.  A few more days and you'll be on the other side of this.  What did you do that got you clean for the year?

I’d say hang in there!! You have made huge progress, and I totally get that “addict” part of you screaming for more drugs.
If I read this correctly, you are off the tramadol completely for 5 days? If so, you are through the worst part, if you were taking 20 a day.
Can you just not go pick up the prescription?
I’m not a doctor and I’m not giving medical advice— just speaking from my experience. If you don’t have the tramadol sitting in your cabinet (or wherever) then you can choose to stay off of it.  And check with your doctor, the one prescribing the tramadol….s/he would be happy to know that you are off of it.
