UNISOM??

I'm on day 4 of detox from a low dosage of hydrocodone and my worst symptom is insomnia.  I took Tylenol PM last night and it didn't work.  I've tried to get in touch w/ my doctor today to prescribe a muscle relaxer like Valium but nobody has returned my call.  I don't want to go another night without sleep!  I feel like it will make me cave in.  Has anyone ever taken Unisom?

No on the Unisom...I used benadryl (diphenhydramine) , melatonin, and sleepytime tea (celestial seasonings) and had pretty good luck. Some advocate Valerian root and Kava Kava for the herb store....good luck to you

a hot bath right before bed helps me...some chamomile tea also..
i hope you can get some sleep..good luck
