Unisom for w/d

Hey everyone... sorry I'm posting so much, I'm going through the roughest part of this and don't really have anyone to talk to.

I bought some otc Unisom (doxylamine succinate) today and was planning on taking it to help me sleep tonight. Does anyone have any experience with this?

It's a fairly common sleep aid, and not dangerous as long as you use it as directed and not for long periods of time. If it helps, use it!

Have u tried maybe any cold medicnes?They usually help u sleep!!!Or Benedryll.....Im so sorry I feel your pain nobody told me it would be this hard to get off sweetie but really these next couple days will be rough probly not much sleep...........do what makes you comfortable have your BF rub your legs and wherever you hurt take baths..........sip water!!Take Immodium for diarreah (diarrhea)!!Its sooooooo hard just believe in your self dont let it control you anymore think of how awful they are to make you feel so bad!!! Let me know how i could help! Oh yeah ICY HOT On the legs!

If the Unisom doesn't work pick up some sublingual Melatonin at GNC that helped me and if you wake up in the middle of the night you can take another one and it works fast.

one thing I have been doing is putting a big blanket in the dryer on high for about 15 minutes....pull it out and wrap up in it.  It feels so good and it is really, really soothing.

Can you give it a shot?

Also, soaking in a really hot, hot bath, it feels great.   While you are in the bath, close your eyes and tighten each group of muscles til they are all tightened from head to toe and then let them all go and breath deep.   Do all of this over and over til you are through a few of the rough days.  It is all free stuff!

i have found that doxylamine succinate if by far the strongest OTC sleep aid you can buy.  don't be afraid to take 3 or 4 of them if you need to.  good luck

what is it in brand name otc.  Is it nyquil  or what?

it's unisom, it doensn't have any cold medicine or anything in it. i took one about an hour and a half ago and another a few minutes ago... wish me luck,

its chemically similiar to benedryl which is in alot of OTC sleep meds.. its a anti histimine.
