mnb - it will feel like a bad flue for about 3 days.. then it will get better. it's still a little bumpy for awhile afterward (with sleep, emotions, etc.) but after the initial 2-3 days it gets alot better.
if you can, get some Clonidine. it's a blood pressure med. if your doc knows about your addiction, ask him for it. it will lessen your w/d symptoms dramatically. the dosage is usually .1mg 3x day during w/d's.. then taper off of them (don't stop cold tureky from them.)
if you can't get that, get some sort of benzo (valium, klonopin, etc.)
if you go up to the search engine on this site, you can punch in The Thomas REcipe and the things that will help - as well as what you can expect - should all be there. As well, Ga Guy on this board posted today a thread that says somethinga bout "For the Newbies..." and he goes into all of this on his post.
it sucks, you will feel uncomfortable, but it passes in a couple days. if you can just hang tight (and better yet - get the Clonidine) either way - just remember - YOU WILL SURVIVE!! many of us did it, and so can you.
and keep posting as much as necessary. it helped many of us get through it...
good luck...
warmly,
mj
