New here

I have been taking oxycodone for a knee injury the last 9 months and have decided to stop because my dr. says my knee has healed and I shouldn't have any trouble with pain. I take the blue pill 15mg 3 times a day. I am concerned that I will still be in pain when I stop but after reading I'm even more concerned with the withdraw aspect of this. I decided to stop today because I took the last one this morning. I was looking for anybody here that has a similar situation like mine.

Jules, There are many great people here who are dealing with similiar stories as your own. Hang in there and I pray since your dosage is a low one that the wds are not as bad for you.

Thanks,

I will take your suggestion and cut back. I took 2 other kinds of medications also. I was under the impression that these reduced the swelling that caused the pain. I never really questioned any of my Dr.s as to what they were giving me. I only questioned them about if it was necessary to have surgery a second time. Hopefully I won't be in a situation like this again.

personally, i took way more oxycodone and hydros mixed.  you will no doubt have some w/d pain.  the body becomes dependent on them.  look in the health pages at the thomas recipe and it will help you.  keep posting here.  good luck and if you need any help let me know.

Your dosage is relatively low, and the time period is also in your favor. I'd venture to suggest (that's all, my suggestion) that you drop to 2 per day for a week. then 1 for a week, and then stop. You may or may not have any ill effects. But get off of them soon. They are very addictive.
