Valium withdrawl and addiction.........is ot like Hyro??

Hey all.  I am off of the Hydro and am still having trouble sleeping.  I have some valium but I was wondering if I take 1 10mg pill at night, will I become addicted.  I would rather not sleep then go thru withdrawls of ANY kind again.

Good morning.  I take valium on occasion for sleeping issues and have not had a problem with addiction to it.  I have taken for up to six or seven days in a row, but everyone is different.

I have taken Xanax 1 mg every night and I think it has helped me from having wd's. The more sleep you get , the better you will feel. Rest is just so important and is one of the major causes of bad wd. People that are wding just lie down only to be jerking, sweating, etc, just generally uncomfortable. I am now off of the Xanax and didn't wd from that. I don't think you will if you take low does and PRN.

A lot of people use valium and xanax to get through the worst of WD's. Just be careful not to abuse it because it can be addictive just like hydro. If you are only taking a small amount to sleep you will be fine ;-)
