Well guys I'm considering going to a na meeting I hope I have the strength will see I found one not to far from where I live iv never been to one do I'm nervous l pray that I will go thow Plz god give me the power to drive there

Yeah, some people imagine a lot of street junkies down on their luck, but that's what we see in the street. In the meetings, people are getting their lives in order and appear normal, only more friendly and caring. Hippies, cowboys, business people, house wives, in other words, people who usually wouldn't mix are all sharing and helping one another in tolerance. It's incredible, really. Somehow my Higher Power always puts the right people saying the right thing and the right time, just for me. Recovery is miraculous. It's awesome to hear you are doing so well. Keep up the good work.

Thanks I feel good about it I was surprised to see a bunch girls just like me there one girl was tellin me a meetin every day for 90 days but there's no way I could do that cause my kids actully there was a baby n a litt boy there witch surprised me

Good for you. It is always amazing how supportive people are when we finally let down our guard. I always say this, but I believe that recovering addicts are incredible people. Caring, tolerant, spiritual, genuine, and full of potential. That's what makes us grateful recovering addicts. Aftercare is so important to building a new life. Not just getting help, but helping others. You are on the right track and headed for greatness. God bless and keep us posted.

Yes I did go n the people were Awsome I couldent belive it I was the only one that was 5 days clean but it was coo n yes I'm a woman 32  there wee young old  it was crazy I'm very surprised  how sweet everyone was I'm def going back I'm try at least once a wek for now cause of my kids Im su busy thanks for the support I super appreciate it

I was so nervous going to my first meeting ... I was dripping with sweat. Just go...get one under your belt. It will feel good. Then try a few different ones until you find one that you really like. I'm sorry for I did not look at your profile ahead of time but if you are a woman...they do have 'women's' meetings ... I find that i like them better...AA meetings are great too...doesn't matter everyone is just there for the same thing...support and recovery. (many are alcoholics and addicts too).  You are doing the right thing seeking aftercare...it gives you a stronger foundation...you have to be vigilant in your recovery...many fool themselves thinking they can do it on their own...until you look and see that 'doing it on your own' has most likely not worked out so well thus far.
