Vicodin Withdrawl

I had Lap RNy on Dec 7th and has a leak and alomost died and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. Since my surgery I have had to get iron infusions because my iron levels were so low. I experienced alot of pain with the iron infusions....muscle pain....bone pain.....I have lost 170 pounds since the surgery and Im down to 210 and feel better but I have been getting horrible back spasms and have terrible back pain. The doctor has me on Norco 10/325 1 pill every 5 hours. I have been doing this for 3 months. I would like to get off but I know I will have withdrawl. Any suggestions to lesson the withdrawl? Does Xanax help?

The hospital stay for six weeks probably included pain relief med's! Usually Morphine drip in your IV? If not all of the time after they probably gave you pills usually a vicodin like drug! No.10 means you wear taking almost 5 a day if you followed the directions? That is like taking 10 a day regular strength? W/d's you will have! How severe is another question? I have for medical reasons had to come off of these three times! Each has been different, this time was the easiest although I have felt tired and winded the whole time. This from when I get up in the morning till I go to bed at night!  This four the three week I have been off of 6 vicodin ES 7.5 mg's for 4 years . The first thing is not to listen to those who speak in absolutes because there aren't any! If you  have the time and aren't working or have vacation sick time take it because if the W/D'S are what most go through you will be more able to handle it at home. As far as what can help Xanax has helped me others have not been able to take it with any relief?  Since it looks to me like your not a addict but might be dependent on you pills you should talk to your doctor they can help, if they know what you want to do! I have tried 3 of the items mentioned in a lot of posts and I am still on the fence about them mostly to do with energy. I hope this helps?

If you have been taking them 1 every 5 hours you probably won't have any withdrawals but some folks feel a little run down over a 3 month period is not that long. But everyone is different but I would try not to get worried untill you actually feel any withdrawal have you ever quit before??
