Hi. You are posting on an old post.

Yes, I've been reading a lot about withdrawl today... and ways to ease the symptoms. Ultram ( tramadol) does help. It binds to some of the opiod receptors... thus easing the acute pain and other nasty symptoms.
Look it up online for dosage or ask your Dr.
Good Luck !
Thank you for the responses. My doctor gave me Ultram, she said it was for the pain. I m real hesitant on taking it because so many people have said that it too is addicting even though its not a narcotic. I have some ms contin and oxycodone but Im trying so hard not to take it but its so tempting when you feel so bad to not want to do something thats in arms reach to feel better. Does anyone know if the Ultram will help with the withdrawl symtons?
extended release morphine, and when I take it I feel awful, is this the same morphoine you are talking about?
I am on mulphine as well and after staying clean for two and a half weeks I used for a week and a half this past week. Today is day 1 cold turkey and I am going through withdrawwal at just 100 mg aday so I imagine physically dependent is physically dependent.
welcome.....I dont' know anything about oxycontin, i was taking lortab...But if i were you i would ask your doctor for clonodine....It was a life savior for me...Also like you i had RLS even in my arms...And when i would take the clonodine it made it 90% better!!
