on the right track
Hey everyone iv been a huge lurker for some time now...over the last year I tried quitting so many times but always fell back into the same routine never making it more then a few days...at least until July 12 when everything changed...my checking account was emtpy and I had thoughts of either pawning some of my golf or stealing from my parents...those thoughts scared the bell out of me ...I ended having a panic attack at work the next day ....the following day I checked myself into rehab...a week long outpatient program...it taught me so much...I have been clean for 53 days and I'm never looking back...I'm going to at least 1meeting a week and reading this forum everyday...I never though I could make it this far.....

Everything is getting back to normal....my girl is slowly gaining her trust back in me ....becuase I'm taking tox screens every week so she knows I'm clean...also taking the naltrexone shot it works great .....our wedding plans are set for Inew years eve and we just booked the honeymoon to hawii...also I'm working like crazy to get out of the hole I put myself in...
It's so nuts that I.thought i needed substances everyday to function ...becuase now I'm way more productive then iv been in years ....
Sorry if I'm rambling but i wanna say so much....one the best parts of breing clean is definitely not thinking of pills all day long its amazing hoe much time i was devoting to those things..

HEY job well done im glad you found help here dont be shy talk to us when stuff comes up going threw a detox alone is tuff enough where here for your recovery now I wish you all the best in your recovery good luck and God bless.....Gnarly
