I've never been on oxy. I was on morphine sulfate 30mg 3x's a day. I believe the withdrawal's are similar. My personal experience was that it took a little longer to feel the withdrawals because they're longer acting meds than something like vicodin. My day 1 without, I ran errands and stocked up on gatorade and vitamins. Yes you'll feel yucky, but it's the mental part that's harder. Knowing I was going to stop my meds would make me panic and break out in a cold sweat. The fear was way worse than the actual withdrawal. Hydrate, make yourself eat. It'll help in the long run. Look thru the forum. There are a lot of supplements that can help as well

let me start over..
Hi .. I Hv been on oxy 30x4 a day for about past two years last month dr lowered my dose due to some guideline down to oxy 15x4 a day.. Previous I had been in Vicodin 10x4 a day but I moved to another state and had to find another dr.. Let me go way back I am 47 and in a car accident when I was 9 hit by a drunk driver .. So I Hv gone pretty much my whole life in some pain pill .. While I had been talking about a knee replacement with dr's but that surgery was not a option so we moved on to amputation while nope not a good  surgery  too many health risks involved .  So today we are at looking for a doctor that works with people that come back from war with that kind of  Trauma injury similar to mine.. I'm freaked out about being on "oxy" .. And running out of my meds early..

Aside from how much you were prescribed, how much were you actually taking a day? The fear of the withdrawal is worse than the actual symptoms at least in my opinion. as Atthebeach said you'll feel flu like symptoms. You'll have some aches in your joints, but it's nothing you can't handle. Several of us including myself are chronic pain sufferers. Once I got through the aches of the initial withdrawal my pain levels actually went down. The meds over time cause you more pain, to trick you into taking more. Currently, all I take is ibuprofen and not even every day. The best thing that you could do for yourself is to detox and stay off them long enough to get a good idea of your actual pain levels. Then maybe you can seek out a treatment alternative to the meds

@ at the beach.. I Hv been on and off meds all my life pretty much. But about 2 yrs ago my dr changed me from Vicodin 10 X 4 a day to oxy 30 X 4 a day.. While last month he changed me from oxy 30 down to oxy 15.. Now I'm  going run out of meds.. I found myself on the forum and a lil freaked out with some of the stories .. I know I Hv a long way to go still with pain and don't want to comprise getting into any kind of trouble that could jeopardize pain meds being prescribed to me. I Hv never been out before and I'm terrified of withdrawals

What are you taking and for how long?   You will most likely go through withdrawal. It will appear like the flu. Is this the first time you have ever ran out early?
