You can stop the cycle you are in but You have to want it real bad.. drinking is so destructive to our liver and kidneys adding the pills and you are asking for more then you bargained for. I have stage 3 kidney disease and only have 1 with a damaged liver at stage 2 the drinking and drugging did me no favors. Maybe another reason to come to the conclusion you have to stop.. Your very Life.. I wish you well keep reading and reaching out for support. lesa
Like said above, realizing you have a problem and seeking support is a very big step. It can be all to easy to put it off for another week or thinking we will just stop tomorrow. The problem is, tomorrow never seems to come. If you can let us know a little more about what you're taking and how much, you will get a lot of help. So, what type of pills, what mg, how many at a time, and how many per day? Also, how much do you drink? Is it a everyday all day thing?
Make sure you stick around this forum as there are so many wonderful and caring people that know exactly what you are going through. No one can understand unless they have been there themselves.
You've come to the right place. The people here are wonderful. So take a deep breath and read all the other posts they will give you a lot of information and wait and see what people say to you. You have already taken a big first step by posting that you need help. That is very very very hard to admit. You're doing great!
It would help if you gave more details about what you are using, how much, and for how long. That's important because everyone if different depending on that information.
Keep posting and keep reading.
The other immediate thing would be to look for drug/alcohol counseling or help in your area. Another hard thing to do. There are lots of people out there with your problem and lots of people who know how to help you.
Good luck.
