So glad you listened to our advice, start a new thread and stick around. Thanks for the update.
I hope this experience helps you! and scares you into sobriety!!!
I'm glad your ok
I am alive and got home from the hospital a little while ago. A blood clot erupted and I started bleeding internally and my kidneys were shutting down. The first thing they did was pump my stomach, yuck. I don't remember it thankfully, they kept sneaking up on me and picking me with sedatives which made no sense cause I could barely raise my own head. They were fascinated a lot by me, reactions I was having. The scariest thing happened when I lost consciousness during an EKG. It seemed like I was having a heart surgery. I couldnt move but I could feel things and I could blink, then I was numb and there were voices saying that they will notify the family they pulled a plug. It was so intesnse and seemed so real, I really thought I had died. I really thought I had put my family through something like that. I regained consciousness and started yelling " am I dead? am I dead?" A Nurse came over and explained that it wasn't real. I didn't even believe her until I finally touched my chest and started moving around. From start to finish, this is an experience I will never forget, and I really hope it helps others.
Hi there- What's you're BP now? It's odd that it's so low...
I've never taken a dose like that but I know a few things about it...above 150mg is considered an overdose but 120mg per day is not an unusual dose for some people. The XR is a little different and you'll feel the effects longer as you're finding out. Complications include: sudden death from arrhythmia, convulsions, and coma. Others are blood clot, kidney failure...it isn't pretty...
You're sure taking a chance here by not going to the ER. And you're putting everyone on the spot for advice we can't give you. It's scary...
Keep drinking. Do you have apple juice, OJ? Drink that. Stay calm with your feet up. No caffeine, no smoking. Don't take another pill of any kind! Get a friend to come over and stay with you tonight. Drink some milk. Don't take anything else, that's important.
Get yourself checked out...you can tell the ER folks that you're NOT on Sub anymore...because you're not...
very nice info nursegirl, ty
We agree that the ER is the best option now. Anytime you overdose (no matter the intention or the source of the medication/drug), you need medical care.
We urge you to seek professional medical treatment as soon as possible.
Please let us know how you are doing.
Steph
Those are all tough questions that can't really be answered on the internet.
Great info nursegirl, as usual. Having never taken amphetamine, I truly believe that you are having an overdose. I hate doctors and still agree that the hospital would be the best decision.
will my bp return to normal soon or stay low? when will the other symptoms disappear? will any symptoms disappear then come back? am i really gonna be awake for 2 more days? is this still potentially life-threatening? sorry wanted to ask a few last questions so I can stop bugging all of you nice people for awhile. and i definitely plan to hang around after im passed all this

You are still hypotensive, and the way you feel (the sweaty/cold feeling and dizziness) could be from the adderall overdose, not the sub w/ds.
You're not nearly out of the woods yet, because you ingested an extended release formulation. Crushing an XR med doesn't negate the extended release component of the med completely.
I really wish you'd go to the ER. If something is really wrong (ie cardiac, organ failure, etc) the longer you wait, the harder it will be to reverse.
He heart is a muscle and organ in one. You surely tired it out, but I would doubt did permanent damage. You should take it easy for a few days for sure. At least they where pure amphetamines, no street impurities. The hit/cold at once starts happening in sub detox, or it did me, but the adderall is surely making it worse. Fast heart and sweats are likely detoxing the sub faster than normal, all that water flushing through you too. I hope you hang around after all this and keep getting support and making friends. This is a cool site. Once you taper below 2mgs it starts getting more intense. The more the merrier I always say. Most of us go through insomnia for awhile too, so it's nice to chat all times of night.
Throwing up will cause an increased heart rate too, from dehydration. Which is why you must continue to drink tons of water/ gatoraid even when you start feeling better. Keep that up.
I'm glad to hear your BP is increasing, because in normal doses, Adderall usually increases BP, but in overdoses it can dramatically drop.
Sounds like you're coming out of it, but as its an extended release, and as Weaver said the metabolites are still present, remain hyper awarel with your symptoms.
As far as your stolen meds, did you file a police report to partly back this up to your Dr?
yea im glad too and im more confident that i will make full recovery but still worried about the damage the meds caused. my heart raced for a very long time, that cant be good :(
i didnt have any of those as w/d syptoms, i bounced from hot to cold a lot in w/d but never both at same time
I agree with Heather on that one. Glad your heart rate is better. That's a good sign.
the weak sweaty cold and diarhea could be the w/d from your subs
BP 87/63 heart isnt beating as fast, sweaty but cold, weak and bad diarhea..
It's been over 8 hrs since you first posted, how are you feeling now?
ER would be best, but if you can't go, you must must stay hydrated! Gatoraid will help bring up low blood pressure. But you say your heart rate is high. With low BP and a high heart rate, in basic terms, your body doesn't get good nutrition, and oxygen to the cells.
If it was me and I had no way of getting to the ER, I would rest, no exerting myself, drink massive gatoraid, lay in bed with several pillows or reclined in a recliner. Try to relax. And I would watch my heart rate.
Good luck.
She doesnt test any of her Suboxone patients. She also rarely kicks a patient unless they really make her mad.
Okay, that sounds low, but 5mg sub is approx. 200mgs of morphine. You are definitely feeling the withdrawal on top of the adderall. Does your doctor test you? Adderall will register as amphetamine, something to consider. You may need to tell them to prevent getting kicked out of the program. Your subs getting stolen is a red flag, so I hope you can keep going on your taper.
5mg a day, im close to the end of my taper. I get more in 2 days.
Oh man, keep hydrated for sure. I went days without eating on speed, I get that. Juice, can you drink a little to get some fructose?
You are also in sub detox, how much where you taking when they were stolen? How long until you get more? This may be the time to just ride this out and get clean. The detox plus speed is an intense combination. I found even pot to make detox worse back when I would run out. Nothing really helps in the first weeks of sub or methadone detox.
