HI Tivia....well your threw the detox now what?? its a question asked by a lot of us....how am I going to make it without the pills....we focus so much of our live around the pills....we need them for everthing....then comes the gyration if I just had some more everything would be better....no om not going to do that anymore....well mabe just 1 it was a hard day....this is wat I call the mental mindscrew and it needs to be addressed our your sunk....the only way I know of is to treat the disease not the symptom the symptom is the pills addiction is the disease and its roots lye a lot deeper in our brains then we think ...we need to change the very way we think to recover... as a whole the forum recommends some form of aftercare we often bring up N/A or A/A because the programs work and its free you can also go one on one with an addiction therapist or conslor but plug in some where you wont regret it N/A helped me beyond measure
the people there are great and understand where your coming from also get rid of those refills they will call your name on your bad days....I wish you all the best in your recovery
congrats on 12 days good luck and God bless....Gnarly
Hey girl! So proud of you on day 12:) Energy is going to come back, give it more time. It takes awhile, and even though I'm on day 25 today, I still have some subtle wd's and mental issues, but for what it's worth, I feel pretty much the same as I did on pills except I'm SOBER!
When I'm draggin' my *** and feel like I have to get things done I put on some music really loud and by the time the songs half over I'm dancing around and singing, lol.
Glad the good is fighting the bad, you're doing so well, I'm happy for you. Hugs**
hey 12 days thats great. Im on day 18 without my suboxone. Yeah I kinda want to take a pain pill but then again where does one pill lead to. The same every time we will need them the next day and so on until we are back at wanting to stop. And we will wish we never took that first pill. keep you head up it gets easier the longer you stay clean.
Hey Tavia - You aren't alone, I had the same issues after the WDs. Thought I was home free...not quite. The energy issue is tough. I had to work everyday (even through the WDs) and as much as I didn't want to move I had to. I ate vitamins like crazy, energy drinks, diet pills, anything to try and find some boost. You are getting closer everyday. I know how tough it is, but if you could handle the WDs, you can handle this.
Pitch the refills. You're just asking for trouble one day. Maybe not today, but as you said is good always going to beat the bad? That temptation is something you don't need to have around you. Do yourself a great big favor, you deserve it after what you have been through, throw them away AND call the pharmacy and tell them you want it on your record to not have them filled. It will get better, I promise, you just have a little farther to go.
