HI ED glad you found your way here......I dont think that trip to alaska is a good idea you need to detox somewhere your comfortable and in a strange place is not going to give you that as for your habit its significant but not the worst I have seen you can set this down on your own ......your going to be sick for about a week you said yourself tapering wont work for you so your just going to have to bite the bullet and C/T off ......we will be hear as ytou go threw it to support you its not ez but its doable and you wont be chained to a pill bottle any more once your threwit wiuld be helpful to have someone to look in on you wile you do this a close friend or family member we can guild you threw the basics you just got to be strong enough to make it threw without using so get rid of all the pills sub or anything else you have in the house no safety nets keep reading the posts and post often you can do this good luck and God bless.......Gnarly
what's the problem, Ed ? how are you doing ?
I may check into a detox at the ER
Going to Alaska and going into wd's isn't a very good idea. You sure won't be out looking for a job that's for sure.
The best thing to do, is slowly taper off those pills then quit. The least amount you are on when you quit the better, It's pointless to go onto something like methadone or subs to quit them.
Interesting to read that you took subs thinking they were the same as other painkillers like oxycodone or Oxycontin. It is not. subs are a strong opiate, but they are only a partial agonist, not a full agonist like Oxycondone/contin. Subs (Buprenorphine) have a "ceiling" effect if used for pain, they only provide a limited amount of pain control. After a certain amount, even if you took more it would have no effect. It is a strong bonding opoate agent though, which is why it prevents a person from being able to get high on other opiates. Those other opiates aren't able to break the bond the Buprenorphine has on the opioid receptors and get an addict high. It is hard to withdrawal from as well, as you learned. It really puzzles me why you took it in the first place though, because it doesn't get you high. All it does is prevent the wd's from other opiates.
As far as being more amorous in the bedroom, that is also contrary to the effects opiates have on males. It has the exact opposite effect in fact. There may be areaction to the drug that may make you think that, and that is it may cause the prostrate to swell, which can put pressure on the urethra, which in turn causes the bladder to remain full and the subconcious reaction to that.
As far as taking other pills to get off the oxycodone, or to ease the wd's, that's not a good idea, especially any benzo's. The best way is to taper down what you are now on and quit when you are stable on a small amount, and go through the wd's, which shouldn't be too bad. Keep hydrated while doing this, eat foods high in potasium like banana's, take a good multi vitamin with the B complex, take extra vitamin C, and perhaps have some imodium on hand for any stomach problems you may have.
I am in day 5 of my own personal detox using Thomas Recipe. I did not do the tranks..but everything else seems to help. Good luck.
there are a couple of tips more, Ed... RLS is quite stressing at nights, buy HYLANDS restful legs, epsom salts to add to the hot water baths will relieved your muscles, eat lots of bananas ( rich on patassium )... I think the Ltyrosine is better taken after the worst of the wds are past but you will see how you feel ( some people feel jittery so start with a low dose, ok ? )
I am taking 5-10 15mg oxycodone depending on nothing i guess haha, I looked at this guys Thomas so called recipe its amazing so many recommend it I will be buying everything today to prepare for my worst Idk when I will start to stop but I am guessing when I run out I hope.

Whammy is Its ur family.U do need to figure out what ir aftercare care plan is and how ur gonnna avoid all those drugs.Good luck
sweetie...your story was not explictet..and your just like so many of us..dont b so hard on your self. the majority of posts on here are about opiates..and detox. I recommend googling Thomas Recipe and look up a product called...Withdrawl ease. and just keep posting. Detox is one of the hardest things for people to endur. But not impossible. Please stop worrying about if your found out. This addiction is hard enough w/o all that added stress. You did good finding this site nearly 24 hrs. a day you'll find a "friend" on here. and it gives you opportunity to vent your frustrations at the least. Go to alaska and go shopping for thomas recipe items. dont forget withdrawl ease. You take care and keep posting
This link may help you about your question. it is a new forum here that addresses these questions about rehab, wish you luck !!!

Thanks, and your right about the diarrhea it comes with all of this I have tried quitting before and know all these horrifying thing that come along. Suboxone is what I was talking about in my story here it is very very bad stuff. Thanks for the advice on Imodium I will look it up. As for weed goes I think sadly it would help too but I don't like the drugs in my system as for the pills I am legit.
Hi buddy. First let me tell you how sorry I am to hear what your going through. I have done so myself in the past and not to be gay or anything but if I could I'd give you a hug and tell you its gonna be alright. Now on to the problem... The good news about oxy withdrawel is if you can get past 72 hours you will be past the worst of the physical aspect of the withdrawal. The bad news is the symptoms are intense. You will get sweats, chills, nausea, you will feel like you want to crawel out of your skin, etc. Take some imodium to help with diareah, some people say smoking pot can help some. Now there is a medical choice. I have a friend that found a doctor that prescribes a drug called seboxin. She was very addicted to oxy and said the seboxin totally took away all withdrawel symptoms. Do a web search to see if any doctors near you prescribe this. Good luck my friend, P.S. Praying doesn't hurt either.
I would like to go to an anonymous rehab if anyone would know of a free clinic that isn't full of a bunch of thugs that just want to get back on or are required to go. I will travel the country to get there.
Hi, Ed welcome here :)... i would advice you to read as many posts as you can... knowledge is power, you know... you will find some helpful tips on the health pages ( right side of your screen ) ..read the Thomas Recipe and the amino Acid protocol... but there are also articles about diet, aftercare and very useful info that it is good to know about this addiction of us...
i am not sure about going to Alaska in two days while you are in the middle of wds, can't you delay it ?
