So I had the surgery today.........

Actually the pain is alot better since they got the gallbladder out. I guess they did give me meds while I was knocked out so I wouldnt hurt as bad once I woke up. But I have now been home for an hour, and so far have only taken tylenol and ibuprophren. I have been in constant contact with my dr and him and the surgeon were both very supportive of me not wanting to get hooked back on the pain meds. I've just been really afraid of taking that one little pill that will get me high and I will go right back to where I was before. However the meds they gave me dont give me that high at all, they do take the pain away but I dont feel that feeling I use to chase at all. So keep praying for me guys! And thank you all for all of your kind words and support. You all have helped me ALOT! Its kinda funny the thing that hurts worse right now is my shoulder, kinda wierd! LoL

I'm so glad to hear things went so well!  Congratulations!  I'm glad the pain is being relieved without having to take the pills that give you a high!  That's awesome!  You are still in my prayers!!!

Thats from the gas they give you .I had mine out 6 months ago .so I so know what you are going threw . Do you have someone to hold pain meds for you the first few days can be painful.A heating  pad works wonders..

Yes I do my hubby has them hid as well as takes them with him when he goes anywhere just to be safe. So far though my cravings arnt too bad, I dont like the ones they gave me so maybe that helps. I really dont want them though, but Im sure partially knowing he has them and I cant sneak them DOES help. :)

yeah that helped me as well .Give it a few days and you will feel so much better just make sure when you start to eat go slowwwwwww .The first few weeks were touch and go for me I spent lots of time in the bathroom now i am fine I can eat anything.

glad to hear you are better, we were all worried about you. be strong, only take the meds when you need them and you wil mke it.
