you don't hear people needing medical attention from vic w/d?  I always hear of it from other drugs...  Seems a 20-25 / day habit would require SOME medical treatment or are the physical w/d just simply uncomfortable?

I'll admit I haven't been ready to quit... I'll try not to bug you all with the w/d posts at 3am...

I can't believe how bad I've gotten.  I'm going to do a VERY SHORT taper i.e. like 2 days (don't laugh I'm that pathetic) with two 5mg oxycontins ---> love vics but for some reason these I hate, go figure...   I got rid of the rest and have absolutely NO WAY of getting more pills.  I even think I'm on some kinda watch list for narcotics, maybe I'm just paranoid about that though...

I've cleaned up a few times so I know it's bad ;)  just not from a 4 week binge of 25 a day ;(     The ONE difference between then and now is I always had possibility of getting more pills, now I do not.   Don't know how that will affect my cravings (knowing I can't get vics no matter how hard I try)

Vicodin withdrawels aren't simply uncomfortable, they are misery. You will feel like you are going to die, and even wish you'd die, but unless you have existing heart conditions etc. you should make it thru withdrawels just fine. The average time being 5 days of the worst part of the w/d, getting better each day from there.
Read about The Thomas recipe in the health pages. Following all or some of it will help greatly.
Good luck to you. 5 days or so of misery is not a bad price to pay to get clean. Of course its the weeks following that that are the hardest...dealing with the cravings.
