The depression and feelings of hopelessness are normal part of w/d. It is one of the toughest to deal with. Try to talk to as many people about it as you can. If you cant talk to anyone, journal what you are feeling. The SamE helps with energy, and the other vitamins/minerals in combination will help too. You are at the worst part, just hang in there and remember it does get better. The drugs are trying to trick you into thinking life without them is boring and depressive. It isn't!!! Just gotta get over this mountain, and you'll see how beautiful and fun life can be.
the thomas recipe helped me once,i did it with out the benzos, the L-thorine? helps with the depression, Also if you could see a chemical dependency Dr they can make the w/ds more comfortable for you. I started tuesday am and if feel 100% better
i'm so sorry you feel so badly.
it can be pretty miserable. that is why so many are still on the drugs. withdrawl is the worst i have ever felt in my life.
you are just killing time now, waiting for the withdrawl to be done. but you are going to feel much, much better soon. you'll see and then it will be all over.
just try to occupy your time. watch movies, make phone calls, sleep if you can, or any kind of activity
there are things you can do to speed the healing up. Like taking amino acids- they aid in healing your brain. which is going through some major changes right now. these are the aminos i took
l-glutamine 500mg 3x day
l-theanine as needed. (acts like valuim)
l-methionine 500mg 2x day
they are not too expensive and if you order them on line through puritans pride they are usually having some kind of sale going.
It's a tough road I know having been there, I just finally went ct. Sounds rough but all it seemed like to me was that I was prolonging the agony. I felt horrible for 5 days but I just tried to tell myself that I had the flu. Unfortunately depression is just one of the horrible side effects of being on opiates. They change your brain chemistry and your brain has to return to normal. They dont tell you all of this when they put you on the stuff to begin with. Hang in there it is do'able but I wish I could tell you it was easy. Some of the people on here have had success with suboxone, but I wasn't lucky enough to have that kind of help. Good luck, read, walk, take baths to help the leg aches.
