What you did takes so much strength! I know how you feel about disappointing people, especially your family. I kept my secret so long and even though I know my family was disappointed in me.....it felt really good to tell them the truth.
Concentrate on yourself now....You can do this!

i am going to tell my doc everything today and hopefully get on a workable plan. as far as aftercare my sister is a nurse and has informed me that she will be handling my taper and aftercare. oh yeah she is going to the doc with me to make sure i dont leave out any details.
As the above has said, coming clean to your family is a BIG step in the right direction.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in your journey, and you have taken it willingly.
I applaud your willingness to come clean! Congratulations on taking your first baby-steps towards sobriety!!!
Keep posting... this place has a habit of becoming addictive (some addictions are good, after all).
You are in no way a loser. What you did last night took alot of courage and strength. Congrats on taking back your life~~~~~sara
Telling your family was a big step. Our secrets keep us sick and by telling them, it will help to hold you accountable. Even though they may be disappointed, I hope they will be supportive. I don't know your story yet, but did see a post from before. Your tapering off percs now? Have you thought about anytype of aftercare?
