Good evening! I have been reading these posts for a while now but have never joined in and I have been wanting to become a member for some time now! Well, here I am, this site is wonderful and you people seem to really care about one another on here so I am excited to try and be involved finally! I am a 31 year old female and mother of two small children and am currently prescribed 15 mg. of roxicodone two times a day every month, so that's 60 a month. I also SOMETIMES take a very little amount of xanax to deal with my freak out sessions, I get .5 at 60 a month, I don't even take them every day so the xanax is not what I am concerned about. I am very careful about what I take and how much but I feel that I am starting to overuse my roxis! My fiance gets 120 30 mgs of roxis once a month as well and I end up always dabbling into his meds when mine are finished. I know we should not be sharing medication! Basically I am up to about 4 30's every single day and I know this is becoming a problem b/c when I do not have them I go through the withdrawal bad! I was originally on them for an auto accident that I was in over a year ago and I suffer from PMDD as well as fibromyalgia that I was diagnosed with when I was 14 years old. I also broke my wrist a few years ago and it still bothers me like I just broke it b/c it never healed correctly. My cramps every month are at a 10 pain level so I get very good relief from that too. I started on 120 7.5 percs untill about 5 months ago my doc moved me up to the roxicodone, so I have been on pain meds for a total of 14 months so far! How long can I keep this up without doing serious damage to my body? I tried to ct a few months ago but it was the most horrible feeling I have ever experienced! The hot flashes are the worst for me and the chills are enough to drive me insane! Should I start to taper and if so what would my taper plan be like? Someone help me please with some sort of advice? Thanks,
Confused but have legitimate pain in Florida!

if you find yourself taking them when you don't need them. That's a clear red flag. It took years for my tolerance to build from just 2-3 pills. They sneak up and grab you and don't let go.........Be careful.
Nauty............
the way i understand it, regular med use increases over time due to tollerance. we require more meds to achive same results, if you can keep your med use low and constant id say any way you do it is best, if you start taking more you need to consider options.
