First, to answer any question. go to the end (bottom) of that thread and put your comments in the big white box. then click the Post Comment button. If you want to make it to a certain person's attention, then you can put their name in the little 'To' box like I just did for you.

yes, it is pretty much the same thing with less tylenol. were you able to read our answers on the last ones?

i hope you read what sajonna explained about how habit forming they can be and hard to come off of they are. i have just been a week clean after a taper but it is very hard to get your life back after you have taken the pills long term...even if your dr is rx'ng them or not. i wish you the best and of course i understand that there is pain that they are needed for.....we just wanted to let you know how easily they can become habit forming! please feel free to post anymore questions and the way your reply is when you are reading our answers there is a box at the bottom type in there and them click post comment on the bottom right of the box. (sometimes i have to scroll my screen down further to see it)

Just because a doctor gives them to you does not insure you will not become addicted. Trust me:  I have had chronic pain for 23 years and alot of experience with narcotics.  Although I never took them to get high or a buzz...I still got addicted or dependant on them and THEY did make the pain worse in the long run.

Funny thing here is had I let my doctor refill that last prescription I would still be taking those Norcos.  But we had a "come to Jesus meeting."  I explained to him that I thought I had reached my plateau on these drugs and I still had pain.  After I tapered..guess what?  This NSAID med he gave me is working.  And I am no longer in a fog.  That really opened my eyes.  I thought "My pain was SO BAD that I NEEDED narcotics."

I was wrong.  My Pain CAN be controlled with the help of the NSAIDs and some Tylenol here and there.

Try for yourself.  I am not going to say I will never take another narcotic, but I will have to have had a surgery or a bad muscle tear or something like that in order to take again.   And I will taper off them when the time limit is up.  (meaning a few days or weeks..NOT MONTHS or YEARS!)
