Is the pain med an opiate?
But very likely yes to the question though. If you take Suboxone with another opiate - Suboxone will knock any other opiate of the receptors and plant itself on them instead (antagonistic effect). Which will either just result in a not so good feeling, complete negation of the other opiate, or even full-blown precipitated withdrawal (not something you want to experience). It depends on if you are dependent or addicted to the other opiate.
from what I understand ..yes..you can either go into instant w/ds or it will just block the pain med..I just read something about this in a post from yesterday..I am sure in the am someone will be able to tell you exactly..I am going to try and find that post ...I know the answer was from Sablezen..be right back. But either way ..why risk it. Are you on sub to try and quit pain meds?
