Hi,
I was on a high dose of methadone and I am using suboxone to deal with the prolonged withdrawals. I don't know if it would be smart to get on to suboxone to help with the 3 or 6 percocet you are currently taking. There Will be unconfortability, but I think withdrawal from suboxone to be worse than the percs.
You may want to consult your Dr as he is the one prescribing the Percs. Or you may just want to speak to an addictions Dr to ask any pertinent questions you may have about suboxone and withdrawal. You may also want to google suboxone for your own information.

It can be so much tougher when 2 people are trying to quit together. You both have to be on the same page with this. Congrats on getting down to 3 a day. Tapering can be tougher for many of us here. When your ready to stop there are things that can help. You can buy hylands restful legs tablets to help with the RLS (leg spasms) and hot hot baths. Melatonin can be bought OTC to help with sleep, just be careful with the xanax. Also like I said the thomas recipe.
If he is ready to quit, why has he taken 3 already, just curious. Keep posting, you will get a lot of great advice here.
We are both taking 5 or more a day i have slowed down to three a day but my husband has a harder time. He has been takin 6 to sometimes 8 a day an they are 10mg an if he doesnt take one before he goes to bed he wakes up with chills an sweats an aches all over an one day i only took 2 an i woke up with like leg spasms an uncomfortably jus all over! i knw we are ready to quit we had a very deep conversation this morning an he is ready but its only 11:19 an he has had 3 so far but i told him to take a xanax an see if it calms it down a lil! im really just confused!!
How many are you taking a day. Is it possible for you to taper of them. Myself would not suggest sub to get off percs, but if you could give us any more info it would help.
If you decide to cold turkey, the thomas recipe can help ease withdrawls a bit. The thomas recipe can be found in the top right of this page, under health pages. Glad you want to quit, there are a lot of success stories here from those who have quit:) Good luck.
