I echo THD0618's questions. Also, what is your support system like? Does anyone know about your addiction?  Are you married or in a relationship? I ask because I was a pretty high functioning addict and no one knew about it, which allowed me to continue abusing them because I had no accountability to anyone else. I did not truly start the recovery process until I admitted my addiction to my husband (who i subsequently took pills from as he is disabled and I had easy access).  Withdrawals suck, no two ways about it, but more info would be helpful in order to give you suggestions to get through. Coming here was the second best choice you made after deciding to quit!

Welcome and congrats on your first day!!!!!  How much were you taking? Did you go Cold Turkey or wean yourself down?  Both matter as far as how WDs will be!!!  Onthefence gave you some good tips!!!  Keeping your mind busy really helps a lot so definitely do that with funny movies, a netflix series or music or something that will help you be distracted!!  Also look up the Thomas Recipe on here!  It gives you some good tips for supplements that can ease the process a bit!!  Make sure you stay hydrated and try to eat something even when you dont feel like it!!!  You need to keep giving your body fuel to get through!!!  I also found that going out for walks really helped!  It is good to get out in the fresh air and walk even if its only for a few minutes!!!
Congrats on your decision to quit!!!  Keep on posting!!!  We will be here routing you on!!!

minute by minute, keep your mind occupied by internet, movies, music whatever works, hot baths really help for physical part, and attitude plays a big part for mental, just keep focusing on the fact that , time will pass and as it does it Will get better!, the hardest part imo is changing thinking pattern so that when ya start feeling good again ya dont feel so good as to start all over again, thats where aftercare comes in, baby steps for now, its a marathon not a short race, hang in there.
