DAY 12 ALMOST BLEW IT

I SIT HERE ON DAY 12 PATTING MY BACK..DAY 6 .7 .AND 8..WAS FEELING OK..AND BAM DAY 9..HAD THAT DAY OFF FROM WORK WOKE UP ZERO ENERGY DEPRESSED BAD HEADACHE..AND WOULDNT CHA KNOW OPEN A DRAWER 7 VICS RIGHT THERE..THE ANGEL DEVIL SHOULDER THING KICKED IN..WITHIN 30 MIN I FLUSHED THEM..THANK GOD I DID BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE CAVED..5 HOURS LATER I GOT MY DEALER ONE FOOT OUT THE DOOR AND THEN CALLED IT OFF...THAT FEELING THE NEXT DAY DRIVING TO WORK WAS THE BEST SO FAR..DAY 12 IM FEELING EVEN BETTER..JUST WANT TO LET MY FELLOW 7 TO 14 DAY FRIENDS IT GETS BETTER BUT SOME DAYS WILL CREEP UP ON YA BAAAAAD..STAY STRONG..

Keep strong because its going to happen again. If the urge is there that strongly than you may want to go to some meetings and get a support system in place. I was 99% ready to relapse 2 weeks ago after about 35 days clean. I can say that it has lessened since then but it can happen at any point whether you are 12 days clean or 1 year clean. Staying clean will just be a big part of our lives now and a battle forever. Congrats on winning this latest fite and get some aftercare.
