65 days clean still having issues.

I was on a low dose of vicodine for two years, I took them as prescribed.
I was moving to a new state so I stopped a few months before. I took them for a blown disk in my back
3 a day. The withdraws have been mild but for some reason the bowels problems have started up again. Is this normal? Has anyone else had this happen. I also still wake up in a fog some days. How long does it take to come out of these withdraws? I feel so much better now I don't take them, will my body ever get back to normal?

Yes, definitely can be the vitamins.  It probably took me about this amount of time to quit having issues every day.  Then it just got less frequent until it stopped! : )  You'll be ok.  Isn't it better than the other??

I wondered if it could be the vitamins also, I doesn't happen everyday. I have a few normal days and then a bad day. Thanks for the reply, I think I'll take a week off and see what happens. Thanks for your help.

I still had stomach issues after a couple of months and it freaked me out a little bit too.  Course, it's always good to get checked out by the Dr. if you think it could be something more, and like leann said, it might just be a bug.

Activia yogurt for a couple of weeks helped me, might be worth a shot.

Sometimes people have other issues, but never noticed due to the pills. I realized I had parasites from India after I quit, but the pills kept me constipated, so I didn't notice. Try eating some natural yogurt and lots of grain, that will help add good bacteria and clean out your intestines. I had to cut back on the vitamins after about a month clean to get my system back on track. Hope that helps and that you are feeling better soon.

The fog you speak of could possibly be PAWS (Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome). You can search in this community or site for more info. I'd see your doctor about the bowels. It could easily be something other than withdrawal symptoms.

Congrats!  Yes, it'll get better. Take Imodium if you need it. Don't just suffer.  Could also be a bug.  Never know.  It just takes the body a while.  You will keep feeling better all the time! : )
