percocet detox

I have been taking percocet every four hours for six months following a car accident.  I am leaving rehab and want to get off the percocet safely.  How do I do this at home?  I  may still need to take pain medication.  What do you recommend that is non-narcotic

Hi!  Definitely talk to your doc before you leave.  They can help you!

Good luck!

Hi,

Since you are still in a controlled environment I would speak to my doctor if I were you. Have him/her either taper you off your current medication or give you a new one. Yes, there are alternative non-narcotic pain medications and again, I would speak with my doctor.

Glad to see you are going home. Best of luck.
