I found the following website's technique, body awareness, helped my jaw clenching. It might help you out too. Hoping for the best, friend. Take care

Ok good to know relief will come with "time" (that darn word) lol thanks guys.
Chewing gum and the so,ic ice chips worked really well for me... Just remind yourself to RELAX and chew more gum!! LOL... It gets better, I promise!
During the day you can take some motrin to help and keep reminding yourself to "relax" your mouth. At night put a heating pad on it or wrap a hot towel from the dryer around your neck (and jaw area) when you go to bed. This is all common and as juggling said, it WILL get better.
I'm glad you brought it up because this one was tough for me and I still catch myself with it once in awhile. I'm curious what advice will be given for this but will share what I have tried that works for me. Gum chewing helps me out during the day. Mine was/is worse at night and (ok, this is going to sound odd) but if I fall asleep with a corner of my blanket or my nightshirt between my teeth it helps me fall asleep. I will tell you that this has definitely gotten better over time and probably really settled down after about a month for me. I wish you the best and hope somebody else jumps on this thread with some other thoughts! Take care and I wish you the very best - keep up the great work!
