blood test positive for alcohol and hadn't drank alcohol

A blood test showed up positive for a small amount of alcohol and there had been no alcohol drank or even in the house. That day a dose of liquid methadone was taken and an albuterol breathing treatment given. Someone told me they thought methadone could metabolize into alcohol in the body, but I've never heard this. How is it possible for alcohol to show up?

That is really strange, I too would ask for another blood test. I have no clue.
