your loved one is on too much ultram, exspecially having a history of seizures
it is very hard these days to have people committed
you can call your local alcohol and drug commision, in the blue pages of your phone book
or you can try to get him into the menatl heath center
there is a book called "no more letting go" this book shares a few more options
if you can get him to the er, they may place him or refer him to treatment
but he has to want help
make sure you get help for yourself, alonon/narcanon
addiction is a family disease, no one is safe from the disease family member
have hope but also protect yourself from getting hurt
xo
Most states will place people on a 3 day psych hold if they are a harm to themselves or others. If that hasn't occurred, then it's all his choice.
First and foremost you and your sister are victims of his addiction. Unless your brother wants help, there is nothing you can do. He is an adult and if you get him to rehab he can leave at anytime.. You need to talk to his dr because with epilepsy I would think w/d could be dangerous. His dr can help him with monitoring his tapering and with the w/d. but all depends on him, does he want help? is he willing to fight the fight? keep us posted. prayers for you and your family.
