How long did you taper before you quit? Do you think it's easier after you taper and how much were you taking when you decided to stop? I have been trying to taper and have done better but I keep having kidney stones along with a lot of back pain from previous surgeries. I really like hearing stories of success.
Waht are your withdraw symtoms? You might be surprised at hoe short yours will last. It sounds like you wernt taking them that long. You can do this! You dont want to be on these things for years because it will be alot worse then.
I did the taper method from hydrocodone pills and now have not taken one in 5 days. It does get easier and the determination is helping me too. I am so much happier now that I am not taking any pills. I just figured out what was best for me and did that. I would talk to your doctor and if you cant do that try to figure out if tapering or cold turkey would work for you. Either way you will have withdrawls, just no way around it! Good luck to you!!!!
Tapering certainly can help get some down to a reasonable jumping off point. All of us are different but your daily intake is low and you've not been taking them that long. ( I did 100 150 mg of vic plus oxys, methadone, morphine, etc for 5 years) My personal opinion is that you just stick it out with CT. Tapering is very hard to be diciplined about. 1 week of CT and you should be doing pretty well. Stick around and let us know how you are doing.
I am sorry hun but it is against our guidelines to give out that information. A proper taper should be done by your prescribing physician.
I hope it all works out for you.
