I have Copd and have taken hydro cough syrup for 5 years.  Like the rest of the drugs, you always need more.  I also moved onto vicadin.  These help me to breathe better, but the rest of it stinks.  I am clean 15 days, but so tired and out of breath.  I don't want the drugs-I'm amazed no urges.  But I'm scared I'll never breath well again or have energy.  And yes I still smoke-1 demon at a time.

Well another day clean.  On my way to FL with my daughter tonight to see Grandma, as she is not doing well.

I never heard of Morcof and gogled it with no results.  I'm going to ask my pulminologist.  I take tons of prednisone and inhalers.  The narcos always help fast, but they are as evil as they are helpful.  Quitting smoking would be the ultimate, but I don't want to jepordize my progress at this point.

I can relate to your COPD.  Both my mom & younger sis have this.

I took my mom to the doctor the other day and he prescribed her Morcof 4 oz.  When I went to fill it, they informed me that it has been discontinued.

Do you know of anything compromible?  The pharmacy claimed to not know.  My mom is severely emphasemic.  She doesn't abuse it, but it helps her about every 4 nights.

OH I am familiar with that, my mom and her best friend both had it.  There are options have you tried prednisone.

Its from her copd....I think it will get better after time. You need to talk to your Dr. about other options for you though!! Hope you get some relief!! Best of luck to you!!
