Hi congratulations on 2 months! Wow all great things in your future! Focus on that when the cravings come and keep picturing yourself helping animals! This is going to be so great for you. Just keep distracting yourself when the cravings come.  Prayer works well too. I think it is no accident that you wound up in a drug free zone! Awesome! What better place could there be for you! Good luck honey I think you're doing great!

Yeah, I'm glad you haven't come across any opiates yet. Working for a dream is good too, I just really was caught off guard many times. I even had a fellow AA member ask me if I wanted his left over vicodin, almost a whole bottle full, he didn't need them. He not an opiate addict, so he was being nice and not realizing what he was doing. He knows I have pain from my work. Anyway, not harping, just sharing my experience. I have been innocently offered opiates multiple times by people who didn't know my past. It is good that Vic's are too weak to do much for me, I wonder if I would have refused Oxy or dilaudid. Probably, but I am glad I have support to notice if I do screw up. I'm real inspired by your new life you're creating, way to move forward. I love it. I went back to college for a year after acute detox, I love school.

I know there r drugs here lol just not my drugs. Everyone here is on meth. I havnt had time to set aftercare up yet. Iv been going to school 20 hrs a week and working 40 all while feeling like death now that I feel better il start meetings again.I just took the weekend to breath. I went to meetings and therepy for the 2 years I was on sub. It did help there are just not many opiate users in my town. So nobody here really gets it. Even the drs they never heard of sub

Thing is, drugs are in every corner of the wold I have been. It's odd, the US is one of the most difficult places to get meds, yet we consume more than any other nation. Do you have aftercare set up in your new community?

Hi there, it's great to hear that you are 2 months clean. Cravings can be tough. Try to keep yourself as busy as possible. Getting some exercise is a great and healthy way to distract your mind. The cravings will get easier to deal with.  Good luck with school.  Just keep moving forward each day. Take care, and congrats on the 2 months!

Congrats on your clean time. You are doing awesome.
That is great to hear that you will be going to school in the fall.
Keep yourself busy until then. Are you working?
You should get as much support as you can to prevent relapse.
Counseling, support groups, exercise, volunteer, church.
Do you live alone?
The cravings will pass. Take it one second, minute, hour, day at a time.
You don't want to go back to the chains and bondage of addiction.
Keep the faith.

Hey there, congratulations on 2 months off Subs.
Usually the cravings subside by around 3 months but not completely.
I havent craved anything in over 2 years, but can tell you, you must really want this to succeed. You have to constantly fight with yourself and some days are better than others.
Your fighting for your freedom and your life back.
Just keep in mind, 2 months is huge for us addicts to stay clean, but very early in recovery so you will get a lot of mental cravings and lack of energy, but its how you deal with it that is important.
Not being near or around drugs is so crucial for your recovery to have half a chance.
I personally dont do N/A but would recommend it to anyone for a successful recovery.
Your doing so well 2 months off subs : )

P.s. I really hope i understood your post and commented correctly : )
