Severly regretting last nights actions.

This really is not a question it is more aimed at the ones who are like me and relapse. So 24 hours later my withdraw symptoms are back and worse go figure. That is Karma telling me that I should not have over dosed and taken 18 50mg trams in a 24 hr period. I am very shamed and feel horrible and I now know that the WD are probably going to be that much harder. But dang it I made myself a goal and I will not be high on my anniversary which is June 27th. Its bad enough that I will still be weaning come my sons bday party this Saturday assuming my kids are not sick anymore. On top of detoxing I caught a cold from one of my kids so its double the trouble for me. I am done with the self pity crap and please don't ever apologize for being straight up and honest to me. I do not have many supporters in my life so I need to hear the exact truth. Thank you again for everyone's support!

That's okay!  I had to read twice but I'm sure she implied she was weaning so I went with that...she'll let us know, I'm sure.

Oooops, sorry Vicky! You are right about the taper! I missed that part in my reply! Thanks!

Just don't beat yourself up. This is all part of the addiction.

Get back on your taper and be careful about setting dates. Goals are fine but a date puts a lot of pressure on us. As long as you stay with the taper, never go back up, and keep moving forward, you'll be doing well.

When you wean down, you need to do it right. Drop small amounts of the drug over time. The object is to go slow and steady, without pressure or making it a race.

This is what worked best for me and others here.. Good luck!

I'm very sorry about the relapse and now the double whammy of the cold plus withdrawal stuff! I really do understand the shame and horror, but really it's not gonna make this any easier this time around! In fact it will make it more difficult! So, get up, shake yourself off, get a positive attitude and begin again! You know what to expect physically, take whatever helps and makes you feel better except obviously your drug of choice! Post here whenever it gets bad or you get anxious! Keep yourself focused and busy! Smile and laugh whenever possible! We are here for you with encouragement and support! Take care and dig as deep as you can, and then dig some more! Big soft hugs to you!
