cold turkey 5mg methadone , no problems

Jumped off 5 MG of Methadone 4 days and 3 hours ago, I stabilized at 5 for over a year, I actually feel amazing and better by the day then I was on it, if im feeling absolutely nothing right now I find it hard to believe a week in and itll be bad, seems I may have did it right by not just tapering slowly, but tapering slowly and then stabilizing at the low dose for over a year just wondering whats going on the half life has worn off if i was going to withdraw, I should have some form of lack of comfort right now, and for those who are gonna say itll get bad, im sorry but if im feeling nothing right now, chances are its not going to be that bad in 2 days im 99 and half hours since last dose, slept every night no problems, whats going on here?

will never happened, the oxys took so much from me 3 years ago, and that's what I was addicted too, then jumpd on the program for 2-3 years clean of everything but the drink, then slowly tapered, then as I say stabilized at 5 mg for a year or so, and 6 days ago (almost) decided to jump, and felt really blessed to have no physical symptoms , and I feel as if theres no mental symptoms, im really confused as to why,but ill take it.

Reading your posts it is evident that you are very positive and I believe that plays a huge role in this process. The mental part of this game is probably as big or bigger than the actual physical part. Make sure you don't use not feeling horrible as an excuse to start up again because your not afraid of the WD's. Good luck going forward.

Thats good sleep was hard for me for a while nothing work to make me sleep for a few days

Hey guys, just an update, day 5 today, feel normal , as if I didn't jump off, sex drive boost is only difference In a good way lol, I was up late last night, not uncomfortable at all though, just energized and not sleepy, but when I went to bed I passed out for 7 hours , tomorrow at 11 am is day 6 and I can honestly be confident that nothing will creep up on me passed a week, thank for the replys everyone!

Congrats Ryno, and Welcome. The Good Spirits must be looking after you ! I will shoot up a prayer that you continue to feel well.. Be good to yourself and get a lot of exercise eat good healthy food and drink a lot of water, replenish what the methadone has robbed you of. Take care, lesa

Your just lucky I guess I taper from 20 to 5mg and jumped my taper was fast 12 days but after day 4 it got better the whole time first 4 to 7 days was my worst it did take about 30 for me to feel it was completely not bothering me and I hurt way less than I did with Methadone

Thanks when did you start to withdrawal? im just so confused why im not feeling anything almost 5 days in, i just cant see me feeling much worse after another couple days, I mean its scientifically proven that the half life is no more then 72 hours, though withdrawals peak up to a week, but if im at no withdrawals now, i cant see it being much worse in another day or 2

Very nice post and I wish you the best. Keep that Positive Attitude and it will take you far.
I jumped off at 30mg back in 2012 with 2 other meds and I had one heck of a time. Went through lots of mental changes.
I am happy the way you did this and I think you will be fine. Just know if you feel some strange mental feeling, that is part of the process, as the brain has to heal a bit too..
