im clean finally

well i took a job that i have to travel alot. one of the main reasons i took it was to get me out of well you know addiction to pills and away from people who use. my drug of choice was oc. i have been gone a month and i went c/t while i was gone. this has been the best thing for me, i now am over a month clean and feel great and very very happy. i just got back to utah and am spending time with my daughter. for the first time i dont want pills and am very happy with being normal.i cant describe how good and how much of a natural high i have. and the big bonus is i now have money to spend on my daughter and i actually want to do things again and dont feel like i need a pill to do it. for all those who struggle keep up the fight it is well worth it. oh and since i have been back my family says how good i look and that i look great, it could be the fact that i now pig out on food like no other and in a month i gained 20 lbs but it looks great and i no longer look like death warmed over. thanks to all who have been there for me and who would have thought getting away and working out of state would be the best thing for me. I am so happy and i keep saying it but WOW WOW and WOW life sober is awsome.

because i was at work out of state i was not able to find na meetings but due to the fact that i worked long days it kept me busy so that was great and kept my mind off of my addiction. to answer im getting clean i had a nasty oxy habit at about 160 mg a day and i took them for 2 years. it feels so good to be clean and well worth the battle. it is so much better how you view life and actually want to be productive when you finally get off pills. the best thing for me was getting away and i was able to focus on getting better. i now am back for two weeks then back on the road, but i am spending time with my daughter and all the money i usually sped on pills is now going to clothes and fun time with my daughter which she so deserves.

Congratulations! You really give hope to everyone trying to get clean.  I think it was extremely important that you were able to get away from the people that use.  It's so great to know that you are able to feel "happiness" again. Thank you for your post.
