You can do this! Please don't give yourself time limits until you give in. You just have to take this one minute at a time. It's day 6 for me and things are changing as well as easing up.
My advice: The hot baths and sleeping with heating bad under calves helped the most for the leg problems. I think I almost overdosed on Imodium, but it helped. I pushed apple-cranberry juice to stay hydrated and took calcium, potassium supplements as well. The Melatonin really does help with the sleep problem. Yoga/meditation/running was also my savior and of course, this site.
Just hang in there. I think you will find that tomorrow the symptoms won't be totally gone, but perhaps a bit more tolerable and even change to some other symptom. Roll with your feelings. You didn't get to this stage in 7 days, so please don't give yourself just 7 days to get through it.
I have faith in you. Seven days is huge! Keep up the good work and keep yourself busy!
Pulling for you....Keep posting.
You are in control of you now, not your addiction. You can get thru this. I know it is tough but you can do it!! Using is not an option.....sara
Congrats on going this long. You wouldn't want to go through this again, would you? Keep up the good work. You should start feeling better soon.
Well done on a week clean. I am sure you will be feeling better very soon, so don't give in, the physical w/d's should be almost over by now. Laurel gave you some good info so look into it.
You can do this man, life is much better without being a prisioner to drugs. Let us know how you are today and hope you got some rest. I read in your last post that you took sub? Did you only take it for one day or did I misread?
Hey buddy, I jumped off 100MG of oxy/roxi habit but it was more around about 75-90 MG a day, I just jumped off at my peak. I have been abusing meds for over 6 years and have quit many times but never made it 30 days clean. I quit again a little over a month ago and made it 20 days off opiates but I did use tramadol for some of that time. I felt everything you felt for the first two-three days with the RLS and stomach issue lingering until day 5 and then I still kind of have the stomach issue. Now its mostly the mood swings, motivation and energy issues but even that is not so so bad. Each person is different but I feel the mind is a powerful thing. I think you need to just tell yourself each day you are getting better. Find some motivation, listen to music or think of your kid and say I can beat this and I am healing! You have got to be threw the worst of the wd's on day 7!
You can also take Mortin, Aleve. our Tylenol the Hot baths will help with the aches also.. for your stomach try eating a lil and make sure you are hydrated.. You can do this..
I agree with Laurel do not give in ! You have come so far and as a single dad you do not want a active addict raising your child.. so many memories become fuzzy.. we loose a lot of their childhood in addiction. You were given wonderful advice about things you can get at the drug store and very inexpensive.. you also might try walking with your child it will help with the restless legs a lot and helps with the mind.. rls always stuck with me for awhile also.. Hot showers/baths with the Valerian Root and Hylands restful leg.. I bought a knock off and was surprised how much it worked.. Your almost to the other side so hang in there.. Congrats on 7 days !! lesa
HI welcome to the forum

Restless is really one of the physical symptoms than linger longer but there are some natural remedies that can help you a lot with it
A good magnessium+calcium and a potasium suppplement ( they will help with your muscles aches too )
Hylands restful legs , Hylands cramps legs
take long hot, hot baths with epsom salts if you have them
you can drink apple/orange juice ( potasium) and tonic water ( it has quinine on it )...eat a lot of bananas too
you can take melatonin ( non habit forming ) to help you with sleep if you are not taking anything else to sleep and also valerian root ( it helps with anxiety too )
bt please, do not give up :) things will get better and stay here posting and telling us how you are doing.
good luck :)
