day in court

I went to district court yesterday for my prescription fraud charges.  I now have to go to circuit court to plead guilty and get a sentence of drug court.  The states attorney wanted to prosecute me to the fullest extent of the law yesterday, the doctor, nurse, pharmacist, and arresting officer were all there.
All in all my day in court  worked out for the best.  I have to remind myself daily to accept the things I can not change, and to have the courage to change the things I can, I have changed one important thing, I have stopped taking pills and am moving on with my life.  I made my bed, now I have to sleep in it.

i have also been keeping up with your posting...First i wish you luck, second you have the best attitude for what you have done.....We all do crazy things to get pills..you are not alone..most just don't get caught, maybe this has saved your life..
you will make it, and taking responsibilty for your actions is HUGH!!!!!
i wish you the best!

Best of luck, most of us have done things we're ashamed of.   You have the right attitude.  Life just isn't fair so we have to be fair to ourselves.

So, you posed as a nurse. We, as addicts, do some pretty sh**** stuff. I hurt a whole lot of people I loved
dearly, but mostly I hurt myself.

I think the only person you hurt by what you did was yourself. This is just MY opinion.

The good thing is that you are taking responsibility for your actions. That is a huge step!

Hang in there. It wil all work out the way it is supposed to.

I called my scripts in.  I posed as the nurse at the doctors office. This is the worst thing I have ever done.  I have never been in trouble with the law, and I have always been an addicted to something  over the past 22 years.  You live in Pa?  Have you heard of Bowling Green Brandywine?

I have been watching for your post to see how you made out. Looks like things went well for you, all things considered. You have a great attitude.

I had asked earlier, I hope you don't mind, but you said script fraud? What exactly is that? Did you write your own or fudge one from the docs? I am curious because I never heard of it. Also, I think your sentenace will depend on which way it was done-the severity of the crime I mean.

Anyway, good to hear you are OK.

Take care.

I am slowley getting my life back.   I felt some relief after court yesterday.  I really wanted to get probation before judgement yesterday, but my lawyer suggested going to circuit court with all the charges against me he could not promise I wouldn't get sentenced to time in jail.  I am trying to do the right thing and stay on my path to recovery.
