Almost 4 mouths clean off opiates/ over one month clean of cigs

I wanted to quit everything before the new year and I have.  I have been to the doctor alot before the new year thinking all kinds of things were wrong with me, but he thinks it is PAWS and it is different for people. I have been having nerve problems for the past four months and it has been getting better. I quit Benzos, 120mg methodone (ten years) 12mg Subs and Cigs all this year and it has not been easy but I refuse to EVER go back to that life. So to anyone if I can come off all of this in one year no task is impossible. I am so happy i am clean for 2014 and dont have anything holding me down and I have my freedom back.

Good for YOU!! I know just what it is like to detox from Methadone & a Benzo at the same time..Ekkkkk I went c/t almost 16 Months ago with a 12 year ride..Was also snorting it with one other med..Just go with the flow..Just stay in-tune with your self and just know that you will experience different stages as you Heal..This all takes TIME and with that takes Patience's. It took me a very long time Physically, but the Mental did not hit bad until my 7-9 Month..This also had to do with what Life throws at you, and now we have to handle things with REAL Emotions. No more running to hide.

Hey a big congrats to you  I did the methadone for around 7yrs and it was hands down the worst detox I ever went threw but it also was so so worth it the cigs are tuff but doable you have just extended you life breaking free from all this stuff keep pushing forward get a good aftercare program in place and work it and you will be fine.. never forget we do this just for today...........Gnarly................

I was so glad to see this post!  You have given me the inspiration I need to continue doing what I'm doing. Definitely didn't stop the smoking (smoking more like a chimney at the moment) but am on day 2 of no suboxone and am looking for other people that have done it successfully and here you are! Congrat's to you b/c I know this wasn't easy!  It must have been that you were ready!  My hats off to you!
