how to work down from percocet 10 4 a day to nothing

Please help with any advice.....concerned that I will have to go cold turkey after being on Percocet 10/4 a day for over a year to nothing at all....is that safe and what do I need to ask my Dr. tomorrow of other options?

Going cold turkey can be a bit nerve wreking, take benadryl if u start feeling anxious 2 help u get through....from experience....good luck.

I never have had the discipline to taper.  I think I would not have a pill problem if I could taper, to be truthful.  If you think you can taper, go for it, but you may just be postponing the inevitable if you cannot control yourself.  Good luck, there is lots of great advice on here if ou go cold turkey, the regulars are great and look at the Thomas reciepe in the lower right of the page.

You can go cold turkey off the pills if you feel that is best or perhaps your doctor will recommend a taper plan. You are on a relatively low dose and tapering may just prolong the process but see what your doctor says. Have him check you out and make sure that you are otherwise healthy just to be safe.
