i take it occasionaly, i took 2 one night and my wife came into the room 15 minutes later i was slumped over at the computer.  she thought i had OD'd on smack.  i told her it was from accidentely inhaling model glue as i was building a model at the time.  sometimes i take it for sleep but sometimes i wake up a few hours later with like a surge of adrenaline and can't get back to sleep

I take this drug a lot - it really helps with muscle spasms and helped me sleep the last time I had to go cold turkey.  It is habit forming but the withdrawals from it are not bad at all.  You can safely take up to 36mg per day in divided doses.  It doesn't help as much as Xanax with the w/d, but it's definitely better than cold turkey.

Oh yeah, it's not like a benzo. It's a completely different type of drug. Fishmeal was thinking about xanax, not zanaflex. I always get xanax, zanaflex, zantac, and zyrtec mixed up.

I've taken zanaflex before. It's a muscle relaxer similar to flexeril, skelaxin, etc. I never took more than 1 or 2 occasionally, so I'm not sure about chronic use. But, most literature I've read says to taper down to avoid mild withdrawal symptoms. I'd just reduce my dosages, maybe by splitting pills, until you are off it. Muscle relaxers never did anything for me, personally.
