HI I always say it not so much the withdrawal that makes methadone so hard to kick but the post withdrawal energy crash........you can try some liquid B- complex it helps a bit
whey protein shakes will help a lot over time you can pick up a 2lb can up at walmart for 15 buck the chocolate flavor is good you just mix it with milk its loaded with vitamins ecential amino acids as well as the protein all of witch the brain needs to heal I recamend this for everybody that detoxes for at lest a month or 2 if you drink 2 a day you will get what you need
other then that its a waiting game its up to God and time to heal you good luuck and God bless.......Gnarly.....btw cangrats on 20 days your doing really well so early on
That is the great thing about diet and exercise, they make you lose a lot of weight. : )
Just picking at you good luck.
Congrats on day 20!!! I'm on day 18, and have some good days, some where I feel like lead, but giving up is not an option, we deserve our natural energy back and it will come, it just takes patience! Keep it up :) Jewlz
Thats the bad thing about methadone it make you gain alot of weight.
The amino L-tryosine is great for energy and to combat fatigue - - check out the amino acid protocols in the health pages of medhelp.
Yup the money thing too....sheesh when I think of the dollars I spent when I was high on the pills and it makes me sick to my stomach even to this day (I'll be one year clean in about 10 days). So no need to explain that one!
And you just gave your kids back the BEST present they'll ever get. YOU. :)
thanks i decided that the 6,000 dollars i spent at the clinic a year could go more towards my kids than my selfish needs
The sublingual b-12 tablets are great for energy.
Protein drinks, gatorade, exercise - also really good for the energy issues - seems lack of energy and the insomnia linger on for a bit longer than the other withdrawal symptoms. But both will return eventually so keep the faith!
And CONGRATS for the 20 days - FANTASTIC!! :)
