you shouldn't be having this severe of a problem if you tapered correctly. butalbital needs a slow taper or this is how it ends up. if you are having any kind of convulsions at all, you REALLY need to talk to your dr. this is only a normal part of withdrawal when you have tapered incorrectly, or not tapered at all.
at this point, the best suggestion anyone can give is to talk to your dr asap and see what they say. you do not need to say you were abusing them...only that you have decided to discontinue them and these are the effects you are feeling. if you WERE abusing them, though, then it would be better for you to admit it. only then can they treat you 100% effectively.
Okay...I can't find it so maybe I said too much and it was deleted? I don't know...
Listen, the best thing you can do is talk to your doctor. They've heard it all! What he's going to think is that he's thankful you came to him/her so he can help you...they know they get used a lot...Did you just stop this or did you taper down first?
Hey! Hi! I posted to you yesterday...look for that and try to stick to one thread at a time... I'll bring up your other post...
Don't feel guilty about talking to your doctor. He needs to know. And it's your life in the balance. They can give you things for sleep. Please quit beating yourself up. Talk to your doctor and see if you can get these problems solved. I'm sure you can. And tell him about the weight loss. That is significant. I wish for all the best for you--from one who is also suffering.\
